Tough-Cast 65D is a two component polyurethane casting resin that is virtually indestructible. It exhibits excellent impact resistance, abrasion resistance, strength and chemical resistance. Tough-Cast 65D has the look and feel of thermoplastics such as abs while maintaining a high heat deflection. It is designed for making durable prototypes, reproductions, end use production parts, rollers, etc.. It contains zero solvents and can be hand mixed or used with automated dispensing equipment. Tough-Cast 65D works excellent in rtv silicone molds.

New to using resins...I have yet to get my project under way, but when I do, I will report back.
I chose the ToughCast 65D as an alternative to smoothcast 65D.

This was my first attempt at casting parts in a silicone mold. I found the resin to kick off really fast, especially in the afternoon Texas heat. That created voids in my parts. I started working early and I achieved better results. Newly cured parts seemed a little too flexible for what I wanted, but letting them sit overnight got the results I was looking for. Pretty satisfied
Due to the morons at FedEx giving my order the Grand Tour of the lower 48 states, I haven't had the opportunity to try this product personally. I know it will do the job perfectly once I have it.
Great product, easily casted, gels in 2-3 min. Demolds in 30 min or less. This product renewed my wearing and depressing prototyping while using inferior products. This material enabled me to creat a very strict tolerance part, with bubble free glass finishes. Wish I would have discovered SRC products sooner
